Melrose Course - This Jack Nicklaus signature course has been ranked among the "Top 75 in North America" by Golf Digest. It's one of the most celebrated courses in South Carolina - featuring smaller target greens, a mixture of short- and long-par 4's, a diversity of par 3's, and unique par 5's. In addition, the 18th green sits on a small peninsula that seems to jut into the Atlantic, testing the nerves of the best players.

Bloody Point Course - This fantastic course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, and named after a notorious 1700s battle between Indians and the British on the island's southernmost tip. It utilizes the Daufuskie's most scenic coastal marshes and dark water lagoons. Also, the bald eagle's nest on the seventh hole and the Osprey's nest on the 15th hole are visited annually by these nationally treasured birds.

The Melrose Tennis Center -- located on The Inn at Melrose resort grounds -- was designed by Stan Smith International and recently received the prestigious "Court of the Year" award from Tennis Industry Magazine. Challenge yourself on eight Har-Tru courts, nestled among towering pines and oak trees, including two courts lit for night play. A State-Of-The-Art Equestrian Center offering full-service for families to enjoy horseback riding. Encircled by white-rail fences and acres of green pastures, the center features pony rides, private- and semi-private lessons, children's clinics, and carriage rides. Oceanfront pools re located atthe Beach Club.  Poolside food and beverage service is available during seasonl Beach Club hours.  The Beach Club features a large heated family pool, a teen pool, a children's wading pool and a heated whirlpool.  Swimming is also available in the Atlantic Ocean along three miles of preistine white sand beach.

If you're a seasoned vetraon or a first timer, fishign can be a wonderful bonding, relaxing and learning experience.  The lakes and ponds of Daufuskie are well stocked with Bass, Bream and Catfish.  Fishing poles and tackle are available for rent.  We also provide charter inshore and Near Shore fishing excursions.

Whether it is a planned or pop-up game, volleyball is always a popular beach sport for guests of all ages.  Sand volley ball courts are located adjacent to the Beach Club.

So as not to miss your regularly scheduled workout, we provide a Fitness Center adjacent to the Beach Club.  It offers a wide range of fitness equipment including computerized bikes, stair masters, tradmills and free weights.  Locker rooms are available complete with redwood saunas and beach towels.

A Pitch and Putt course as well as Corquet and Lawn Bowling are available on The Inn lawn.  Theme games available include Croquet and Chardonnay.  A Wicket Afternoon, Wickets, Wine & Whites, and The Great Gatsby Lawn Party.  You will find a horeshoe pit at our Equestira Center.

Learn how to sail your own Hobie Cat sailboat.  Basic lessons from an experienced sailor, instructions will be on land and on the water.  No prior experience or training is neccessary.

Enjoy exploring the numerous marshes around the island with watching for coastal birds and other species specific only to the region and of course, dolphins.  It is also an excellent opportunity to learn about the wildlife, while in their natural habitat.

Let an experienced guide take you on a 2-hour tour through the fascinating estuaries and creeks surrounding Daufuskie Island.  This will give you the optimal opportunity to experince the low country's natural beauty and wildlife.  The waters are calm enough for an inexperienced guest to enjoy the tour, yet will excite a more seasoned individual.

One and two seat kayaks are available for rent: this includes life jackets and paddle.  Even an inexperienced individual will enjoy learning the fine art of kayaking while paddling around the Calibogue Sound or to the Sandbar at low tide.  This activity is highly recommended for the entire family.

Guests can enjoy a view above the Calibogue Sound for an eargle eye view of up to 20miles in all directions.  Each flight is 8-10 minutes concluding with a dry and gentle landing.

Blast off int othe Calibogue Sound and enjoy getting wet, wild, spilled and thrilled.  Must be 18 years and older to rent a wave runner.

Enjoy fishing for Redfish, Flounder, SHeep head, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Shark and King Mackerel in a 23' Sea Cat.  Bait, tackle, cooler and ice are provided for this neear shore-fishing exursion with light tackle.  Tarpon trips are also available.
